Shawn Fennell is an artistic fellow with the CTC, as well as its communications director. He is a transplant from Miami by way of Princeton and San Francisco. At Princeton University , he majored in comparative literature with a certificate in theater, and his fascinations were Artaud, Adorno, Benjamin, comic books and Facebook.

On the subject of his writing, past and present projects include: a play about bedwetters and broken things, songs about cult members, a novel about forgetful ghosts, and an adaptation of Little Red Riding Hood inspired by Inception and the Five Noble Truths.

He's also very fond of directing, having worked on such plays as Ashes to Ashes, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Foreigner and Misalliance. As a writer and director, he has a special interest in theater for children, having orchestrated stage adaptations of Snow White and Peter Pan.
