Emily Greenhalgh (Class '08) graduated with a marine biology major from the University of Rhode Island. She hopes to some day travel the world's ocean, go down in submarines, and study multitudes of fascinating creatures while calling it work.
Emily was introduced to the fine members of the Courthouse Theater Company in the summer of 2006 through company member Justin Kandler. She now serves on the Board of Directors as the vice president of the company.
Before 2006, Emily had nearly forgotten her love of theater, which had been founded and sustained through the Odyssey of the Mind program during her elementary and middle school years. In high school, she had turned to musical performances and is still active in the University of Rhode Island's Percussion Ensemble. Emily plays the piano, the drums, and any mallet instrument she can find.
Emily directed "Dinosaurs" during the 2006 24-Hour Play Festival and "Couple's Therapy" during the 2007 24-Hour Play Festival. She also starred as Rheba in the company's production of You Can't Take it With You.
