Katie Jones is a member of the Mount Holyoke College class of 2010, majoring in international relations. Rising from a humble South Kingstown beginning, she will one day be Secretary General of the United Nations. She is currently on leave from the company studying Arabic in Tunisia, but will rejoin the group in August for Andy Hoover's Set and Drift.
Katie has been involved in theater as long as anyone can remember, first gracing the stage as a hedgehog in Alice in Wonderland. She has taken on numerous memorable roles in a variety of productions including Oliver, Cut and Loving Lives. In the 2005 CTC debut Rumors, she played a very flustered Chris Gorman, and rejoined the cast again in 2006 as Essie in You Can't Take It With You.
She has also enjoyed great success in the company's 24-Hour Play Festivals, winning Best Writing for her 2006 "Dinosaurs," and playing opposite Justin Kandler in the 2007 festival's top play, "North, North, North." In her spare time, Katie enjoys putting together art shows and collecting dinosaurs. She has peculiar taste in music, plays the trumpet, and enjoys a really nice pair of shoes.
