NARRAGANSETT - The Contemporary Theater Company will host auditions on Oct. 26 and Oct. 28 for its musical production of "The Gift of the Magi." Available roles include three males and three females. Actors between 16 and 100 are encouraged to attend.

"The Gift of the Magi" is an annual production by the Contemporary Theater Company based on O. Henry's short story. This year's original script and score sets the story in 1950s America, but stays true to O. Henry's tale of a loving young couple who cannot afford to exchange Christmas presents.

The company will hold rehearsals on evenings during November and December. The production plays Dec. 10 through Dec. 23 at The Towers in Narragansett. Performers will be compensated for their time.

Auditions will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Towers, 35 Ocean Road, Narragansett, RI. Please bring a resume, comedic or romantic monologue and one minute of song. Accompanist provided only for appointments before 7:30 p.m.
